Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed in Moonstone & Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector liquid in Opal

Hi everyone!

The first products I'm going to test for you are two gorgeous highlighters that I was willing to get from a really long time.
They are the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed in the shade Moonstone and the liquid Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Opal.
That's the story behind these products:
I've been watching Lisa Eldridge's YT tutorials since she first started her channel. Her knowledge about make up and her class made me completely hooked.
She features this amazing Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the liquid version in many of her tutorials.
I've then started to desire this highlighter with every piece of me, but unfortunately this brand is not sold in Italy, as it often happens with many international brands, and I've always been afraid of purchasing it online, because I didn't know what shade could suit me.
Last summer I was lucky enough to spend two months in New York and this gave me the opportunity to buy and test some of the products that I find impossible to get where I live!
After testing and comparing the shades and the two available textures, I personally chose the pressed powder in the shade Moonstone, while my sister took the liquid one in the shade Opal.

Textures: My skin is combination, and although I don't have any particolar problem in my cheek area, I prefer the powder version, because I find it more visible on myself, and if a bad skin day happens, I don't have to skip the highlighter.
The powder is really finely milled and has a cream to powder texture, so it doesn't feel dry, it sits really well on top of the skin and stays on for many hours. For those of you who have oily or very oily skin, I suggest to use a very small amount because, even if this highlighter doesn't emphasise your pores, it contains small shimmering particles that can make you look a little oilier.
My sister, who has dry skin instead, prefers the liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector, which has a more hydrating power, doesn't dry her skin out and lasts longer.
The original liquid formula is more subtle than the pressed one, which is more visible and requires more attention when used. You can mix it in your foundation to make it more luminous or build it to achieve a higher coverage, moreover it lasts even longer than the powder version.

Colours: My complection is pretty fair and my undertone is inbetween neutral and cool. I chose Moonstone, because it's a very light goldeny colour, with a neutral undertone that compliments my skin well. It doesn't make me look either too pink or too yellow, which is a issue I often find with other highlighters.
Opal instead is a deeper gold colour with a yellow undertone, which really compliments light to medium or medium skins with a warm undertone. I find it really beautiful for when you start to have a little tan!

Packaging: The outside packaging in which they both come is not impressive, athough is really sleek and polished and reflects all the other Becca products.
The pressed version is really heavy, which makes it feel expensive and has a good size mirror, but it's made of rubber, which means that you have to be careful while you handle it and when you put it in your make up drawer, otherwise it would end up dirty in a couple of uses.
The liquid version instead comes in a tube with a pump, which allows the product to preserve better, but sometimes too much comes out, so you have to be careful (again!).

What else can I say? I do believe that these highlighters are the best I've ever tried. They do their job really well, last a very long time on your skin, look really chic and sofisticated.
They're a bit pricey, yes, but the quality is high and they will last you forever.
